DeFi wins when it’s not just innovative, but practical.

When the efficiency of DeFi meets the ubiquity of traditional markets, DeFi stops being a niche experiment and becomes the backbone of global finance.

With Project Horizon, Aave Labs is taking that next step, bringing real-world assets onchain and building the infrastructure institutions need to participate at scale.

··

Introducing Project Horizon—our new initiative at Aave Labs focused on building institutional DeFi products.

Getting institutions onchain requires purpose-built solutions that integrate RWAs into DeFi while maintaining its core value props.

Through Horizon, we'll take the best of Aave’s tech stack and adapt it for RWAs and institutional use cases.

We've watched RWAs take off. Onchain Treasuries alone have hit $4B TVL, up 408% YoY.

But DeFi is still missing the infrastructure institutions need to participate at scale. We're going to fix this.

Horizon builds on lessons from Aave Arc, creating a path for institutions to access permissionless stablecoin liquidity.

Our first product will support tokenized MMFs as collateral, allowing institutions to borrow USDC and GHO.

To start, we've proposed a licensed instance of the Aave Protocol to the Aave DAO. We'll use this licensed instance as a building block for all projects under the Horizon initiative.

And there’s more coming—we’ll share details on another collaboration soon.

Aave has been a pillar of DeFi for years. Now, through Horizon, we're bringing Aave's tech to institutions and moving closer to becoming a pillar of global finance.

Learn how we’re seamlessly migrating the history of Lens to our new chain

··

Lens v2 on Polygon → Lens v3 on Lens Chain Migration.

The Lens team migrated 125GB of profiles, managers, connections, and content to Lens Chain—the largest onchain migration ever.

In collaboration with @lens/zksync, the Lens team developed a migration solution that does not require user intervention and preserves maximum data integrity.

Migrating data between blockchains at this scale was unprecedented.

Existing tools fell short, so we built an adaptable migration framework that can potentially support other projects moving to Lens Chain.

The migration successfully transferred 125GB of smart contract storage logs, including:

- 650,000 user accounts and their digital identities

- 650,000 unique usernames

- 28 million follower connections preserving the social graph

- 360 applications ensuring ecosystem continuity

- 16 million posts with user-generated content

The Lens team, in collaboration with @lens/hey, @lens/orb, @lens/tape , and @lens/soclly, built a migration framework so they'll be fully operational on Lens Chain from day one.

This coordinated effort will give Lens Chain users immediate access to V3's features.

The successful Lens V2 on Polygon to Lens V3 on Lens Chain migration process represents a milestone for the blockchain industry.

We have prepared a full report including best practices for large scale migrations in the blogpost.

Upon mainnet launch, Lens users can effortlessly use apps, interact with content, and manage accounts on the new Lens Chain.
